In this class, our “youngest” young artists will be introduced to the basics of singing, dancing and acting with fun activities focused on building creativity and exploring imagination, all while learning how to work and play in harmony with others. With a foundation in music, movement and speech, this class will help young artists grow in confidence and self-esteem. It will also strengthen their communication, social and developmental skills, and all with the support of a welcoming and inclusive community. Our Mini Musical Theatre class is offered in two sessions. Families who commit to both sessions will receive a discount on tuition. Both terms include an opportunity to perform on stage with the help from their instructors and our older students!

Winter/Spring Term (15 weeks  + Tech/Show week)

Our musical theatre performance company gives young artists an opportunity to participate in a fully staged musical in the spring of each year.

​

During this intensive program, young artists rehearse twice weekly from February to May. The program takes participants through the entire process of putting on a musical, from auditions to performances, all in a fun and supportive environment!

Our 2025 Spring Musical will be The Wizard of Oz.​

Our acting classes are tailored towards students who are eager to explore their creativity and develop their acting skills. Our program is designed to foster creativity, boost self-confidence, and provide a fun learning experience for young aspiring actors. Through a combination of scene work, improvisations and guided acting exercises, young artists will develop their technical performance and team working skills. Young artists will learn the fundamentals of acting, including physical movement, vocal expression, and clarity of thought and speech. We focus on enhancing their communication and storytelling abilities, teaching students how to express ideas and emotions with authenticity on stage. We create a supportive and fun environment where play and creativity are encouraged at every age, and at every level. The session will end with a showcase where students have the opportunity to perform what they’ve been working on!

Our original musical theatre program is all about developing fundamental musical theatre skills. This program includes enrollment in the acting class, plus dedicated instruction in musical theatre voice and dance, from professionals who are passionate about uplifting their students and helping them towards their goals. Through a supportive and fun environment, young performers will learn all three disciplines, building confidence, teamwork, and artistic skills. All levels of experience are welcome, as our instructors prioritize meeting the needs of each individual by selecting pieces that support their strengths and build their skills. The pieces prepared in this class will be performed at our end-of-session showcase for family and friends.

For those interested in joining the Young Company program in the spring, we strongly recommend registering for Junior or Senior Musical Theatre in the fall.

As adult performers, we have found it difficult to find local musical theatre classes that continue to develop our skills with a fun group we can feel at home with, and so we decided to create one ourselves. We are proud of the welcoming and joyful community we’ve created, and this extends to our adult community as well! Designed for enthusiastic beginners and experienced performers alike, this course offers coaching in all three disciplines of musical theatre, and our experienced instructors will tailor the course to support you and your goals. And what’s more, we guarantee you’re going to have a great time! Our YA community is a fun and supportive group, and might just be exactly what you’ve been looking for. 1 hour, once a week, for 10 weeks. That’s not so scary, is it?
