MINI MUSICAL THEATRE
Grades 1-3 | Wednesdays | 5:30-6:30pm
In this class, our youngest young artists will be introduced to the basics of singing, dancing and acting with fun activities focused on building creativity and exploring imagination, all while learning how to work and play in harmony with others. With a foundation in music, movement and speech, this class will help young artists grow in confidence and self-esteem. It will also strengthen their communication, social and developmental skills, and all with the support of a welcoming and inclusive community.
Our Mini Musical Theatre class is offered in two sessions. Both terms include an opportunity to perform on stage with the help from their instructors and our older students! Fall term students will perform in the November showcase. Spring term students will perform alongside the Junior Musical Theatre students in a fully staged musical in June.

Our original musical theatre program is all about developing fundamental musical theatre skills. This program includes dedicated instruction in acting, voice, and dance, from professionals who are passionate about uplifting their students and helping them towards their goals. Through a supportive and fun environment, young performers will learn all three disciplines, building confidence, teamwork, and artistic skills. All levels of experience are welcome, as our instructors prioritize meeting the needs of each individual by selecting pieces that support their strengths and build their skills.
Junior Musical Theatre students work towards two shows per year - our fall showcase in November, and a fully-staged musical (in collaboration with the Mini Musical Theatre class) in June.

In the second part of the year, rehearsals increase to twice weekly as we prepare a fully staged musical for three performances in May. The program takes participants through the entire process of putting on a musical, from auditions to performances, all in a fun and supportive environment!
